Austin’s Auto Service is looking for an experienced service writer. Responsibilities include gathering information from customer; conduct preliminary inspection and test drive vehicle with customer. Check vehicle maintenance record and evaluate regular service schedules. Develop estimates for customer; work with insurance/warranty companies. Prepare detailed repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms and/or problems. Must have computer knowledge and experience in database systems. Maintains good customer service. Strong communications skills necessary along with ability to properly schedule work, answer phones and order parts. Must have 2 years experience with references, hours are M-F 8 to 5; 2 Saturdays a month required. Bilingual a plus.
